Training Overview
Green Impact Nepal organized a week-long training program on R-Basics from 4th-9th August, 2024. The resource person for the training was Mr. Prakash Lamichhane, research officer at Climate Change Management Division.
The training was held both physically at Green Impact Nepal's office in Buddhanagar, and virtually, designed to provide basic R programming skills from installation to data analysis techniques. A total of 10 participants were present in the training.
Training Structure
The training started with the chairperson welcoming all participants and briefing about the syllabus. The program began with an introduction to R and RStudio, where participants learned to install the software and navigate its interface.
The training moved on to the first logical entry point in programming: learning about basic syntax, variables, and operators with R. In the following days, participants learned about different data types, including vectors, lists, matrices, and data frames, and practiced manipulating data sets using built-in R functions.
